Software for night markets

Updated 10 October 2026

A night market is closer to an event than a shopping trip: food, music, lights and a crowd that planned its evening around you. That changes the economics — foot traffic is concentrated into a few hours, food vendors dominate the lineup, and entry can be worth charging for.

Food vendors, power and layout

Night markets lean heavily on food — which means power, gas, water and food registration for a large share of stallholders, and a site layout where every truck and marquee has to fit around cables, queues and emergency access. Who goes where is decided well before bump-in, and every vendor needs to know it.

Entry can fund the night

Because people come for the occasion, a modest gate price barely dents attendance — and presold tickets tell you how big the crowd will be while there's still time to add vendors or security. Early-bird pricing converts your promotion into commitments; kids-free keeps families coming.

One gate, one queue, one evening

A slow gate at 6pm is the first impression of your whole night. Tickets that scan fast on a phone, and buyers who can find their ticket without digging through email, are worth more than any decoration.

How StallsApp fits a night market

Stall types priced by what they use
Separate prices for a food site, a powered site and a standard site, shown to stallholders when they apply — so a power-hungry food truck pays for the power.
Stall site assignment
Assign each paid booking a site on your floorplan, so the day-before email tells every vendor where to set up.
Entry tickets with QR scanning
Every plan includes ticketing. Buyers get a QR code by email without an account; your gate staff scan on a phone, each ticket admits once, and a refunded ticket stops scanning.
Early-bird and door prices
Give each price its own ticket type with an end date, and the early bird gives way to the door price on its own. Promo codes cover partner and community discounts.
Wallet passes on Pro
On the Pro plan buyers can add tickets to Apple and Google Wallet — the difference between a fast gate and a queue of people searching their inbox.
Know which post sold the tickets
Connect a Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or Google Tag Manager container to your market site and see ticket purchases in the ad platforms you already use.

Setting it up

  1. Create your market and add stall types for food, powered and standard sites.
  2. Turn on food registration and add questions for power needs and gas use.
  3. Connect Stripe so stall fees and ticket sales settle to your own account.
  4. Set up ticket types — an early bird with an end date, a door price, a free child ticket if you offer one.
  5. Lay out your floorplan and assign sites once bookings are paid.
  6. Brief gate staff on scanning from a phone before opening night.

Questions organisers ask

Do I have to charge entry?

No — ticketing is there if you want it. Plenty of night markets stay free to enter and earn from stall fees alone. If you do sell tickets, they're on every plan.

Can I sell tickets on Eventbrite as well?

Yes, as a separate channel. Where Eventbrite connections are available you can create an Eventbrite draft from your market date and ticket types; sales and inventory don't sync, so split your capacity between the two.

Who pays the booking fee on tickets?

You choose per market: absorb it, or pass it to the buyer as its own line at checkout. The same choice exists for stall fees.
